Shift Supervisor

Location: Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manages sub-contractors with food preparation, food serving, cashier operations, cleanliness of the dining areas, serving lines, kitchens, temperature danger zones, dishwashing area and storage areas IAW with PWS and SOPs. 
  • Ensures proper cooking techniques are being applied IAW TB Med 530. 
  • Maintains all equipment accountability and serviceability and turn-in and ordering of stockage levels.
  • Manages scheduling and training for the work force ensure compliance with DFAC requirements as PWS.
  • Directs and ensures that HACCP procedures are followed.
  • Ensures that all employees are always in compliance with all established Safety Policies and Regulations.
  • Performs in a supervisory capacity by understanding profit and loss principles.
  • Ensures preparation of menu production records and logs for all food items are completed on a daily basis.
  • Delegates work duties and performs work scheduling.
  • Performs other related duties and assignments.
JOB SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
Required: 
  • Food handling practices skills and knowledge.
  • Knowledge of food presentation.
  • Excellent customer Service skills.
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficient.
Desired: 
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma program tools and methodologies and/or Six Sigma Certification.       
EXPERIENCE (Years):
Required: 
  • 3 years as a supervisor in a food industry or similar capacity.   
Desired: 
  • 5 years food service experience in a military Food Services or cafeteria style or multi-entrée operations.
  • One year experience as a food service manager or assistance manager.
EDUCATION:
Required: 
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • SERVSAFE Certification.
Desired: 
  • Associate degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management, Culinary Arts or related.
OTHER SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Common Access Card (CAC) required to perform job duties.
  • This position is unaccompanied.
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required.
  • Must be able to relocate to the United States Army Kwajalein Atoll.
  • Traveling to Kwajalein Atoll, you are required to have a valid passport in your possession prior to relocation. You must maintain a current passport during your stay on Kwajalein Atoll.
