Mail Clerk - Financial II

Location: Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Processes incoming and dispatches outgoing mail in an expedient and safe manner.
  • Provides excellent customer service at the package window and finance counter.
  • Operates the "Locator system" and processes mail accordingly.
  • Processes claims and registered mail with accuracy.
  • Maintains supply inventories and orders new supplies as necessary.
  • Performs work commute rotations.
  • Works flexible schedule including early mornings, mid-day and evenings depending on flight schedules.
  • Ensures all MPS, Army and KRS policies are implemented and enforced at the Post Office.
  • Protects customer privacy.
  • Completes regular facility inspections and follows-up on any issues.
  • Works as a team member to process mail and meet community demands.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
JOB SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
Required: 
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Cash handling.
  • Willingness and ability to perform work commute rotations.
  • Willingness and physical ability to lift, push, and handle items up to 70 pounds.
  • Microsoft Office Suite.
Desired: 
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma program tools and methodologies and/or Six Sigma Certification.
  • Knowledge of MPS regulations.
  • Mail Locator System.  
EXPERIENCE (Years):
Required: 
  • 2 years of related work experience in a financial field including customer service experience.   
Desired: 
  • Post Office experience or experience working with MPS regulations.
EDUCATION:
Required: 
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.     
OTHER SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Common Access Card (CAC) required to perform job duties.
  • This position is unaccompanied. 
  • Active US DoD Secret clearance is required.
  • US Citizen is required.
  • This is a position of Public Trust.
  • Must be able to relocate to the United States Army Kwajalein Atoll.
  • Traveling to Kwajalein Atoll, you are required to have a valid passport in your possession prior to relocation. You must maintain a current passport during your stay on Kwajalein Atoll.
