Psychologist/EAP

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Under the supervision of the Chief Medical Officer and Hospital Administrator, develops,  manages and implements an effective Employee Assistance Program for the Company, the contract, the community, and the employee clients.  Provides support to the implementation of the Occupational Health program and staff.
  • Assists in active implementation of company initiatives to ensure compliance with OSHA, JCI, and other mandated regulatory or conformance regulations/standards.
  • Provides EAP services to the employees, their families, and sponsoring work organizations, while maintaining service quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Provides psychosocial crisis intervention, assessment, and management as needed.
  • Regularly assesses the needs of the work force.
  • Develops a strategic plan and objectives for the EAP on an annual basis.
  • Evaluates EAP processes and outcome in terms of utilization, quality of services provided and the attainment of program objectives.
  • Develops and implements standard operating instructions and practices for EAP service delivery that ensure client confidentiality and timely, ethical and quality service.
  • Establishes and maintains effective and confidential record-keeping.
  • Establishes and monitors linkages with community organizations and resources.
  • Participates in professional EAP organizations as well as provides consultation regarding EAP practices to the community.
  • Administers the delivery of assessment, referral and short- term problem resolution and follow-up and return-to-work services to employees and families who have personal problems.
  • Serves as the Director of Social Services in support of the Family Advocacy Program.
  • Provides consultation to the company regarding the development of policies and procedures related to EAP services including but not limited to alcohol and drug policy, drug testing.
  • Ensures timely and quality supervisor training and consultation services.
  • Ensures development and implementation of program promotion and awareness activities to employees such as educational workshops.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships between EAP and human resources of all contractors.
  • Provides direct EAP services.
  • Provides after-hours crisis intervention assessment and counseling as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
Required: 
  • Comprehensive EAP background in all aspects of programming. 
  • Capable of functioning independently and proven ability in exercising independent judgment.
  • Administration/management background knowledge, including planning and development.
  • Core EAP service knowledge as well as clinical assessment skills including alcohol/drug assessment and intervention. 
  • Other skills include but are not limited to consultation skills, excellent verbal and written communication abilities, public speaking skills, proficiency with computer systems.
  • Knowledge using MS Office Suite.
Desired: 
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma program tools and methodologies and/or Six Sigma Certification.       
EXPERIENCE (Years):
Required: 
  • 5 years of experience in the following areas: EAP services, outpatient mental health, alcohol or chemical dependency treatment, inpatient psychiatric practice or private psychotherapy service.
  • Administration/management experience, including planning and development. 
EDUCATION:
Required: 
  • Master's Degree in Clinical Human Service.
  • Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP) or eligible within 12 months of employment.
Desired: 
  • Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD) Training.
OTHER SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Common Access Card (CAC) required.
  • This position is accompanied.
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required. 
  • Must be able to relocate to the United States Army Kwajalein Atoll.
  • Traveling to Kwajalein Atoll, you and your dependents are required to have a valid passport in your possession prior to relocation.  You and your dependents must maintain a current passport during your stay on Kwajalein Atoll.
