Equipment Repair Technician II

Location: Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Performs full range of maintenance on assigned print/scan/copy equipment; including technical diagnostics, software loads, installation, and removal.
  • Manages work activity; perform administrative requirements and resolve customer requests and concerns.
  • Responsible for assigned company assets (i.e. parts, tools, communication and computing devices, vehicles).
  • Proactively plans activity and manages services to maximize productivity.
  • Operates high capacity photo copy machine and maintains stock levels for print center.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
JOB SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
Required: 
  • Willingness and preference to follow company processes, safety standards, and policies.
  • Ability to lift (50) pounds.
  • Familiarity with all Microsoft Office (or similar) programs including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Familiarity with Windows 7 and Windows 10.
  • Must have good verbal, writing and customer interaction skills.
  • Demonstrated ability repairing printers HP, Xerox and other manufacturer office equipment.
  • Must be able to work independently and with a team environment.
Desired: 
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma program tools and methodologies and/or Six Sigma Certification.
  • Skilled with desktop publishing software.
  • Demonstrated ability working with SCCM, Remote Access, HEAT and Remedy.  
EXPERIENCE (Years):
Required: 
  • 1 year of experience in equipment repair or related field.
  • Experience working in a customer service environment.    
Desired: 
  • 5 years' experience in a related field.
EDUCATION:
Required: 
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Current CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD Directive 8570.01-m certification.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
Desired: 
  • Associate's Degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • Any of the following certifications:  Security+, Network +, MCP, MCDST.
OTHER SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Common Access Card (CAC) required to perform job duties.
  • This position is unaccompanied.
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • US DoD Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one is required.
  • Must be able to relocate to the United States Army Kwajalein Atoll.
  • Traveling to Kwajalein Atoll, you are required to have a valid passport in your possession prior to relocation. You must maintain a current passport during your stay on Kwajalein Atoll.
