Data Editor/Computer Operator II

Location: Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Performs basic administrative functions on the following systems: Avaya Telephone Switch (PBX), Telephone Management System (TMS), Digital Subscriber Loop Management (DSLAM) and Records Database.
  • Performs all updates to the island directory using Information Services Communications SharePoint site.
  • Assists and coordinates with monthly customer billing submissions to the Finance department using Telephone Management System (TMS).
  • Accurately creates and edits data for internet and telephone billing, telephone PIN's and Directory Entries.
  • Processes Telecom Service Requests (TSR) for telephone and internet services, administers voicemail services (enable, Disable, PIN resets) for residents and TDY personnel and creates work orders in the Telephone Management System for dispatch.
  • Interacts with all departments and organizations to obtain telephone directory information.
  • Interacts extensively with residential, business and government customers.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
JOB SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
Required: 
  • Competent keyboard skills with excellent spelling accuracy.
  • Strong verbal and written skills in the English language for customer and departmental interaction.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
  • Proficient in data entry with the ability to create and edit large, 100+ page documents.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated ability using basic and accurate math and auditing skills.
Desired: 
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma program tools and methodologies and/or Six Sigma Certification.
  • Demonstrated ability with the Telephone Billing processes.
  • Familiarity with TMS or similar software applications.  
EXPERIENCE (Years):
Required: 
  • 2 years of data entry and editing experience, including but not limited to the production and editing of large (100+) page documents and 1 year of experience using database or enterprise software products.   
Desired: 
  • 3 years of Telecommunication Management System administrative experience or related, including customer relations.
EDUCATION:
Required: 
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
Desired: 
  • Associates degree in technical writing or related discipline.
OTHER SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Common Access Card (CAC) required.
  • This position is unaccompanied
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • US DoD Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one is required.
  • Must be able to relocate to the United States Army Garrison Kwajalein Atoll.
  • Traveling to Kwajalein Atoll, you are required to have a valid passport in your possession prior to relocation.
  • You must maintain a current passport during your stay on Kwajalein Atoll.
