Manager Compensation and Benefits (Administrator, Compensation and Benefits)

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • This position is Casual (on-call); estimated duration is six (6) to twelve (12) months.
  • Manager Compensation and Benefits administers and monitors the effectiveness of existing compensation program and policies and/or guidelines; coordinates implementation and provides guidance to Corporate staff.
  • Analyzes compensation policies, government regulations, and prevailing wage rates to develop competitive compensation plan.
  • Manages and administers corporate 401(k) plan.
  • Executes annual Salary Planning Merit program for all teaming companies.
  • Manages the effectiveness of HR vendors and approves invoices.
  • Prepares EEO-1, VETS 100 reports and monitors posting requirements for all U.S. office locations.
  • Develops and manages the effectiveness of the Affirmative Action Plan (AAP).
  • Administers, directs, and reviews employee benefit programs and policies to ensure that programs are current, competitive, and in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Fulfills all auditing and reporting requirements of all relevant government rules and regulations, including but not limited to the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA).
  • Works with KRS Kwajalein HR staff and other U.S. locations in areas such as legislative changes, audits, and compliance.
  • Maintains Human Resources Information System (KEAMS) records and compiles reports from database.
  • Supports the KRS safety culture by working safely and maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Works with government and regulatory agencies as related to position responsibilities.
  • Direct report to KRS Human Resources Manager.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
JOB SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
Required: 
  • Working knowledge of federal, state and local laws and regulations that apply to the hiring, management and working conditions of U.S. employees.
  • Working knowledge of Equal Employment and Affirmative Action regulations.
  • Proficient in AAP preparation, posting requirements and all levels of OFCCP Compliance Review oversight.
  • Ability to work effectively in an advisory/consulting role to managers, supervisors and employees.
  • Ability to maintain professional composure and confidentiality under difficult circumstances when communicating sensitive matters.
  • High level critical thinking skills; demonstrated ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Ability to actively promote and adhere to safety, ethics and security procedures.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office Suite skills:  Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills: Excel
  • Strong, demonstrated ability to effectively manage retirement plans, and compensation and benefits.
  • Proficient in technologies: SAP/HRIS
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively conduct research, investigate alternative solutions and outline action to be performed.
  • Skill analyzing financial data, interpreting results, and communicating operational or programmatic change to managers and supervisors based on financial data.
  • Skill in the preparation and presentation of oral and written reports.
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, collaborative, and communications skills.
Desired: 
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma program tools and methodologies and/or Six Sigma Certification.
  • Knowledge of computer software for applicant tracking and/or recruitment including HRIS database management.
  • Working knowledge of Six Sigma techniques and principles.
  • Previous work experience supporting a Federal Government Contract.
  • Proficient in technologies: KEAMS.  
EXPERIENCE (Years):
Required: 
  • Seven (7) years of Human Resources work experience or work experience in a related field with a bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • Experience must include three (3) or more years’ directly related on the job experience with Compensation Planning and 401(k) Plans.

EDUCATION:
Required: 
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • A High School Diploma and twelve (12) years of directly related on the job experience may be considered.
  • A related Associates degree and ten (10) years of directly related on the job experience may be considered.
Desired: 
  • HRCI PHR or SPHR certification.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification.
OTHER SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Common Access Card (CAC) required to perform job duties.
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required.
  • This position is located in Huntsville, Alabama.
