Mission Support Coordinator

Location: Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Mission Support - Maintains budget sheet for Mission Support Departments; orders materials, processes repairs and returns. 
  • Tracks status of equipment and material deliveries. 
  • Coordinates with KRS Buyers in San Leandro CA and coordinates with Hickam AFB shipping office regarding status of deliveries. 
  • Inputs details of each transaction into a MS Outlook task file and creates purchase requisition (PR) in KEAMS; follows up and monitors progress on purchase and warehouse requisitions.
  • Maintains excellent communication and rapport with the buyers and end-users to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of items needed for mission readiness.
  • Helps end-users prioritize purchase requests in accordance with mission support requirements.
  • Provides guidance to equipment custodians on all aspects of government property from pre-acquisition to disposition; ensures all functions such as hand receipts, receiving, repair and returns are completed by the equipment custodians: assists property custodians with processing Lost Damaged & Destroyed (LDD’s) forms for Property assets.
  • Works with Project Controls to ensure that each department stays within their allocated annual budget. 
  • Project Support - Documents and communicates status to supervisors, peers and provide factual support.
  • Works extended hours, evenings, nights, and weekends, when required.
  • Performs work within the constraints defined in AR 25-1 and 25-2.
  • Maintains cognizance and advises equipment custodians in the tracking of government-owned plant property.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
JOB SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
Required: 
  • Proficient in use of all Microsoft Office applications, with emphasis on MS Excel and MS Outlook taskers.
  • Proficient with Adobe Software Applications.
  • Familiar with accessing shared resources over a network.
Desired: 
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma program tools and methodologies and/or Six Sigma Certification.
  • Knowledge of KEAMS (Kwajalein Enterprise Asset Management System), KARDS (Kwajalein Asset, Record & Document System).
  • Knowledgeable with disposition of Government Furnished Property (GFP) and Contract Acquired Property (CAP) and reutilization priorities set by the Department of the Army, Kwajalein Atoll.     
EXPERIENCE (Years):
Required: 
  • 2 years of procurement experience.   
Desired: 
  • 2 years of financial, procurement and property experience.
EDUCATION:
Required: 
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
Desired: 
  •      
OTHER SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Common Access Card (CAC) required to perform job duties.
  • This position is unaccompanied.
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required.
  • Must be able to relocate to the United States Army Kwajalein Atoll.
  • Traveling to Kwajalein Atoll, you are required to have a valid passport in your possession prior to relocation. You must maintain a current passport during your stay on Kwajalein Atoll.
